- Trộn gạo đã vo với muối trong tô lớn.
- Đổ gạo đầy khoảng nửa túi, chừa chỗ cho gạo nở.
- Buộc hoặc gấp kín mỗi túi bằng dây.
- Nhúng vào nồi nước sâu. Đun sôi nhẹ; nấu 90-120 phút — gạo nở ra và trở nên chắc.
- Vớt ra. Để ráo. Để nguội. Cắt mở tại bàn; ăn kèm các món hầm và cà ri.
